Description
Hi, I’m Alfie Pampas Grass – nice to meet you! Here’s my profile:
The basics:
-
How tall am I? 80cm
-
How many stems do I have? 10
-
What colour am I? I am completely natural
-
What’s my fluff factor? 1
Where do I come from?
My full name is Cortaderia Selloana but my friends call me Alfie. My family is from South America and my great-great-grandparents were born in Pampas, which is where our surname comes from.
What do I look like?
I’ve been told you should get your friends to write this bit of your profile, but here goes… I’m cute and fluffy and to be honest look great anywhere. In a small vase, a big vase, a large glass or even a jam-jar. Whatever works for you is cool by me.
What do I feel like?
When I said fluffy before, I don’t mean my personality. I’m pretty fluffy. And I’m soft. My name (Cortaderia) comes from another name ‘Cortadera’ which means cutter, based on the razor shape of Pampas grass, but this couldn’t be further from the truth – I’m the opposite of sharp, but can look pretty edgy in your lounge.
What will I be wearing?
When we meet, I’ll be wearing my smartest tissue paper. So I stay looking my best, I’ll also be wrapped in kraft paper and will just chill in my box until I get to you.
FLUFF FACTOR
When it comes to fluff, we know what’s feathery or furry and what’s just enough. That’s why we’ve included a fluff factor rating out of 6 with all of our Pampas grasses. So if you’re looking for something as part of a bundle, you could choose a lower fluff factor so your Pampas doesn’t overpower other grasses and flowers. Or if you want a fluffy show stopper, you’ll find a Pampas that’s fluff factor 4 or above irresistible to the sight and to the touch!
Helena –
I absolutely love my Alfie! He is ridiculously soft and as cute as he looks. I love the colour too – nice and warm and natural.
